Marthasville Elementary Speech Pathologist Robin Mayer Receives Blue Jay Pride Award
Robin Mayer, speech pathologist at Marthasville Elementary, is the December recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.
The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.
The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift card.
Mayer’s nomination form stated the following:
“Robin is a joy to work with. She has a huge case load divided between three buildings and manages to make each student feel as if they are her most important student. Her lesson planning is based on what that individual student needs, and her willingness to differentiate for each student is unmatched. Her attitude is always positive and she works with many different staff members to work as a team to support her students. She provides extra resources for teachers to use with their students when her case load does not allow for extra interventions, and goes above and beyond to serve her students and the staff that she works with. Robin does an amazing job and deserves to be recognized.”
Mayer was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. She also received a Fas-Trip gift card from First State Community Bank. Representing First State Community Bank was John Freitag.
