Several teachers from Marthasville Elementary helped raise money for the school by participating in McTeacher Night at the McDonald’s in Washington on Monday, Sept. 17.
The teachers worked for a few hours after school at McDonald’s. During the time they worked, 25 percent of the profits went to Marthasville Elementary.
A total of $700 was raised for the school.
The teachers participating were Stacey Siefken, Lisa Gleeson, Kim Fleer, Jessica Monroig, Kate Winkelmeier and Mandy Straatmann. They mostly served food. One worked the drive through and one supervised children in Playland.
“We want to thank McDonald’s for this opportunity,” said Marthasville Elementary Principal Jocelyn Schluss. “We appreciate them reaching out to us and supporting education.”
