Members of the Washington High School football team, along with Head Coach Derick Heflin, visited Washington West Elementary on Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, to greet students as they entered the building for the start of the day.
Every Wednesday morning during the football season, a handful of WHS football players will visit elementary schools in the district on a rotating basis.
Dressed in their game jerseys, the football players said hello and offered encouragement to the Washington West students while giving them fist bumps, handshakes and high fives.
