Marthasville Elementary School held a spelling bee for students in grades four through six on Friday, March 8.
A select group of students participated in the spelling bee, which took place in the gymnasium with fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students, teachers, parents and grandparents looking on.
Robbie Hagedorn, a sixth-grade student, was the winner of the spelling bee Ava Fischer, a fifth-grade student, was the second-place finisher. Danny Peters, a fourth-grade student, placed third.
Hagedorn will represent Marthasville Elementary at the Washington Missourian Regional Spelling Bee April 27 at East Central College.
