Math Madness for Fifth- and Sixth-Grade Students Scheduled for Thursday, March 30; Registration Deadline is March 3
Washington High School’s Mu Alpha Theta is hosting a math competition, “Math Madness,” for fifth- and sixth-grade students on Thursday, March 30, at the CJB Theatre at Washington High School. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The competition begins at 5 p.m.
The event will allow students to compete against fellow peers of other elementary schools in teams of 2-4 students. There will be prizes awarded to the best decorated student table, the top team for each of the five rounds, the top three highest scoring teams, and a prize for an individual student who can recite the most decimal places of Pi.
The cost is $5 per student. All proceeds go to Relay for Life. This is not a drop-off event. There needs to be at least one parent present for each team. There is no food allowed in the theater.
