WHS Wrestlers Casey Olszowka, Julia Donnelly Named Missourian Athletes of the Week
Washington High School wrestlers Casey Olszowka and Julia Donnelly are the Washington Missourian Athletes of the Week, sponsored by First State Community Bank.
Olszowka, a senior in the 157-pound weight class, has started the season with a 7-0 record, securing bonus points in all seven of his matches. He won the 157-pound title at the Westminster Tournament, pinning three of his four opponents and winning the title match by a major decision. He helped the Blue Jays claim the team title.
Donnelly, a senior in the 110-pound weight class, has started the season with a 6-0 record with six pins. She won the 110-pound title at the Chip Allison Patriot Classic at Parkway South High School. Her win in the finals helped the Lady Jays capture the team title. She currently owns a career record of 100-25 and is the third girl in program history to reach 100 career wins.
