The School District of Washington’s Board of Education recognized several students and staff members from Washington High School during its meeting at the District Office on Wednesday evening, Nov. 20.
On hand at the meeting to be recognized and inform the Board of the things they are doing were the Youth and Government Program, the Culinary Arts Program and the NJROTC Program.
Washington High School Principal Dr. Kelle McCallum introduced each program to the Board and spoke briefly about each group. The instructor and the students went in to more detail about specific projects and activities.
The Youth and Government Program, with instructor Ben Strauser, was represented by students Jay Sitze, Emily Hahne, Chase Schroeder and Tristan Zeh.
The NJROTC Program, with instructor MSgt. Tim Gates, was represented by Tres Stirrat, Katlynn Miller and Zane Johnson.
The Culinary Arts Program, with instructor Karen Fixsal, was represented by Mason Kimminau, Nicole Luko and Grace Warnecke. The group also brought food items that they prepared to the meeting for everyone to enjoy.
