The cadets of the Washington NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) have been given the Unit Achievement Award by the NJROTC Program Office and the Area 14 Manager.
Unit Achievement status is determined by the Area Manager, and is awarded only to those units that demonstrate exceptional performance during the school year.
Unit Achievement recognition is awarded annually to NJROTC units within Area 14 that distinguish themselves above 30 percent of Area 14 schools by demonstrating excellence in administration, academic performance, military proficiency, and host school/district support.
“This award shows the dedication and determination of the cadets in the program. To earn the award indicates the unit continues to thrive under the leadership of a new cadet staff,” said Senior Chief Nathan Hernandez, WHS Naval Science Instructor.
