Washington Middle School held its spelling bee on Monday, February 5.
Language Arts teacher Karen Bruning served as coordinator of the spelling bee with the help of Counselor Tracy Helm.
The final online spelling bee consisted of 26 students who won their classroom level spelling bell, which qualified them for the final.
Landon Reagan, seventh grade, was the overall winner of the spelling bee. Mya Wilson, eighth grade, was the runner-up. A spell-off determined the winner as Reagan and Wilson both spelled every word correctly.
