Students in the Washington Middle School Outdoor Club recently worked on a project that involved learning about native plants as well as planting their own native seeds to grow under grow lights.
The project began with the students taking a journey of native planting, from a micro level to a macro level. First, they learned about the importance of native plants for our environment. Then they planted their own and researched to become "mini-experts" on that plant.
Finally, students were ready to plant larger native plants and flowers on the Washington Middle School campus and at locations throughout the Washington community.
