A $750 scholarship is awarded to a student in each of MSBA’s 17 regions. Applicants are judged on the basis of academic performance, extracurricular activities and the quality of an essay. The statewide winner will be selected from this group of Regional Winners.
Students interested in applying for the scholarship contact the Washington High School Guidance Office. The Guidance Office makes their recommendation based on GPA, ACT score, leadership, and involvement in school activities. Their recommendation is Sophie Koritz.

Student Information System Recommendation: The process to request and evaluate proposals for a Student Information System has been underway since early summer. Due to the important function of this program, the timeline was carefully considered, and multiple people have been involved with reviewing the proposals. Two companies, SIS K-12 and Lumen Touch, provided proposals. Both companies provided on-site demonstrations of their programs to several staff members from multiple District departments.
Curriculum: Curriculum revision is an on-going process, and documents will be provided to the Board containing samples of completed curriculum revisions.
