Washington High School’s National Honor Society induction ceremony was held on Monday, April 25, at the CJB Theatre.
The guest speaker was Kelly Wood, Language Arts teacher at Washington High School. Wood is set to retire following the 2021-22 school year after serving 27 years in the education field, including the last 22 years in the School District of Washington.
WHS Principal Dr. Kelle McCallum spoke during the event, giving the opening and closing remarks.
National Honor Society officers were recognized and played a role in the ceremony; Ella Scott (President), Abigail Raeker (Vice President), Ava Kelly (Secretary), Molly Schaedler (Treasurer), Cecilia Tornetto (Historian) and Mackenzie Lawyer (Student Council Representative).
Current National Honor Society members were recognized followed by the induction of the new members.
