Incumbents John Freitag and Kevin Blackburn were re-elected to the School District of Washington’s Board of Education from the April 6 election.
There were two open seats on the Board of Education and three candidates on the ballot. Spencer Nothum also was on the ballot. Voters selected two candidates.
Blackburn will begin his fourth term on the Board after first being elected in 2012. Freitag will begin his third term after first being elected in 2015. Nothum was seeking his first term. Board members are elected to three-year terms.
A total of 3,154 votes were cast; 2,446 in Franklin County, 560 in Warren County and 148 in St. Charles County.
Blackburn and Freitag will be sworn in during the Board of Education’s reorganizational meeting on Friday, April 16, at the Technology and Learning Center at 7:30 a.m.
