Jordan Scheer Children's Relay for Life Set for April 22; Online Registration Deadline March 9
The 17th Annual Jordan Scheer Memorial Children’s Relay for Life is scheduled for Friday, April 22, at Scanlan Stadium on the Washington High School campus.
This year’s theme is “Wild For A Cure.”
The event is put together by the Washington High School student council and leadership class. Proceeds are donated to the Franklin County Relay for Life and benefit the American Cancer Society and cancer awareness.
Event chairs are seniors Amber Christeson, Anna McFarland and Octavio Meza and juniors Lily Brickel and Matthew Freitag.
The relay is named in honor of Jordan Scheer, a WHS graduate who lost his battle to cancer shortly after his graduation in 2005.
Third through sixth grade students from area schools will participate in the event. They must have already registered to attend.
