Washington High School volleyball player Kassidy Phillips is the KLPW Radio Athlete of the Week.
Phillips, a 5-11 senior middle hitter, is a four-year varsity player at Washington and has been a key part of the team’s success during her high school career.
Heading into action on Monday, Sept. 16, covering the first 10 matches of the season, Phillips leads the Lady Jays with 93 kills on 253 attempts, averaging 4.4 kills per game (set).
She also leads the team with 29 blocks. From the service line, Phillips has no errors in 92 attempts to go with seven aces.
Phillips plays all the way around and is second on the team in serve receives with 84 and only five errors.
Phillips posted eight kills, three blocks and 13 service points in leading Washington past Owensville on Monday, Sept. 16, 25-12, 25-11.
On Tuesday, Sept. 17, Phillips collected nine kills, five blocks and eight service points to lead the Lady Jays past previously unbeaten Ft. Zumwalt North, 26-24, 21-25, 25-19.
