Debbie Manhart, Food Service Manager at Washington High School, was recognized by KMOV Channel 4 as an unsung hero in the community.
KMOV’s Surprise Squad was on hand at Washington High School to recognize Manhart on Wednesday, August 9.
Manhart has been with the School District of Washington for three years and kitchen manager at WHS for two years. She received an Unsung Hero plaque, a $100 gift card, and St. Louis Blues tickets to the alumni suite with former Blues players.
“Debbie’s culinary experience and care for staff and students has been wonderful for the high school cafeteria,” said Jill Poepsel,” SDOW Food Service Director. “She does everything with care and wants to make sure all of our food is appealing to the students.”
