South Point Elementary School held a spelling bee for students in grades four through six on Friday, Feb. 28.
A select group of students participated in the spelling bee, which took place in the gymnasium with fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students and teachers watching.
Eleanor Raeker, a sixth-grade student, was the winner of the South Point Elementary spelling bee.
Tyson Herman, a fourth-grade student, finished in second place.
Raeker will represent South Point Elementary at the Washington Missourian Regional Spelling Bee this spring at East Central College.
