Stacey Siefken Blue Jay Pride AwardStacey Siefken, Horizons Academy instructor housed at Four Rivers Career Center, is the May recipient of the Blue Jay Pride Award.

The Blue Jay Pride Award was introduced to recognize and showcase quality School District of Washington staff and the focus on the District’s core beliefs. Through peer nomination, individuals are able to acknowledge exceptional staff who positively impact the schools, district and community.

The individual who is recognized each month will be presented with a traveling plaque and a gift bag.

Siefken’s nomination form stated the following:

“Stacey is regularly the first person at Four Rivers Career Center in the morning and the last to leave at night. She is always advocating for her students and trying to find ways to improve her curriculum. Stacey has made the Horizons Academy a model for Connect Washington. I don't think there is a program that accomplishes more client connected projects and real world learning than Stacey's program.”

Siefken was presented the Blue Jay Pride Award traveling plaque by SDOW Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Kephart. She also received a gift bag from the Bank of Franklin County, represented by Becky Buhr.
