The 15th Annual Community Festival of Trees takes place during Saturdays and Sundays until December 23 (the last day) from 5-7 p.m.
Over 60 trees are decorated by various organizations and displayed at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 20 E. Fifth St., in Washington. Schools, churches, businesses and community groups in the area have trees represented.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus also will be on hand to visit with children.
Admission is free, but visitors are asked to bring donations of canned food or money. Visitors can place their canned foods under the trees they like best. All canned food donations collected will be distributed between food pantries in Washington. Monetary donations will go to the Washington Emergency Relief Fund.
Representing the School District of Washington at the Festival of Trees are WINGS Educational Foundation, the District Office, Washington High School, Washington Middle School, Four Rivers Career Center, South Point Elementary and Marthasville Elementary.
