South Point Elementary Holds Veterans Day Program

South Point Elementary held its annual Veterans Day Program on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

Students and staff were joined by veterans from the area, who were treated to breakfast in the cafeteria prior to the program.

South Point students participated in the ceremony by singing patriotic songs under the direction of music teacher Maggie Butler. The veterans on hand introduced themselves during the assembly and received thank you notes and cards that were made by the students.

South Point Elementary sixth-grade student Avery Sullenger sang the national anthem.
