In preparation for the 2023-24 school year, open houses have been scheduled throughout buildings in the School District of Washington.
The open houses provide students and parents a chance to meet faculty members of their respective school and tour the building.
The first day of the 2023-24 school year is Monday, August 21.
Parents are reminded to check their emails for additional information from their building principals leading up to the start of the school year.

No open house at the high school, instead there will be registration days and freshman orientation.
While the registration paperwork is mostly done online in Lumen, registration days offer help to students or parents who have not completed the process. Students can also pick up their schedules and chromebooks, have their school picture taken, be assigned a locker if they want one, place money in their lunch account, pick up yearbooks from last year or order one for the coming year, and freshman can turn in their proof of residency.
Students may attend whichever registration day and time works best for them and arrive at any time in the windows given below. Parents are not required to attend registration, but are invited. High school registration takes place in the Nix cafeteria. Please enter through the lower level Nix entrance.
Freshman orientation is scheduled for Friday, August 18, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All freshmen should plan to attend and report to the Blue Jay Gymnasium. Freshmen will receive their schedules at orientation. Freshmen need to attend both registration and orientation.
