The School District of Washington will be showing the movie Angst to all Washington High School, Washington Middle School and sixth-grade students on October 23 and 24.
The film also is available for any parent and community member to view on October 24 at 6 p.m. in the Washington High School Theater.
The film discusses and explores anxiety from a child, teen, and young adult perspective and provides causes, effects, and coping strategies.
The purpose of showing Angst to students, parents and the community is to raise awareness about anxiety and to provide children and families with tools and strategies when facing anxiety.
The parent and community member showing on Oct. 24 will be 56 minutes long and is followed by a question and answer discussion with mental health professionals in the community.
Any parent, student and community member is welcome to attend the October 24, 6 p.m., showing at the Washington High School Theater.
