Ben Griffen, Alexa Bell Named Washington Rotary Students of the Month

Griffen, Bell Rotary Students of MonthBen Griffen and Alexa Bell recently were recognized as the Washington Rotary Club Students of the Month for Washington High School and Four Rivers Career Center.

Ben Griffen is the son of Brian and Lorna Griffen. He’s a senior at Washington High School and is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and the WHS wrestling, cross country and track and field teams. He’s also in the Project Lead The Way Engineering Program at Four Rivers Career Center.

In the classroom, Ben holds a 4.0 grade-point average. After graduation, he plans to attend Missouri S&T in Rolla and major in aerospace engineering.

Alexa Bell is the daughter of Lucas Bell and Vanessa Mayer. She’s a senior at Washington High School and is in the CAPS Global Business program at Four Rivers Career Center. She’s the Student Council President and also is a member of Leadership and the leader of the Sixth Man Pep Club at WHS.

Away from school, Alexa is the Co-Chairman of the Junior Fair Board and a member of Franklin County 4-H.

In the classroom, Alexa holds a 3.96 grade-point average. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Missouri and go in to pharmaceutical sales.

Griffen and Bell were presented their student of the month plaques during a recent Washington Rotary Club luncheon. See the photos below.
