Students in Washington High School DECA organized a donation collection at the school for the Franklin County Humane Society.
The class that donated the most items received a pizza party.
Donations from WHS students to the humane society included pet supplies, cleaning materials, rugs and other items to help the shelter.
The winning class was Michelle Turner’s sixth hour Art Appreciation class, which donated 36 items. Overall, there were 112 items donated by WHS students.
DECA students who spearheaded the project were Emily Frick and Kelly Mahnesmith. The DECA adviser is Katelyn Huber.
Representing the Franklin County Humane Society at the picture were Laura Amlong, and Ron and Pat Foan, who also brought their dogs, Bandie and Slippers.
