Playing its second home match of the volleyball season, the Washington varsity Lady Jays went the distance against Pacific, but fell short in a five-set loss on Tuesday, September 6.
Pacific won the match over Washington, 20-25, 15-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-11.
The Lady Jays, coached by Lindsay Moritz, own wins so far this season over Owensville and Holt and losses to Marquette, North Point and Pacific.
The Washington junior varsity team is off to a 3-2 start after defeating Pacific and the freshmen are 4-1 after a win over Pacific.
Members of the varsity volleyball squad are seniors Gracie Meyer, Jessie Tovo, Chloe Holtmeyer, Taylor Hoelscher, Alexis Burks and Jora Weaver, and juniors Jillian Huellinghoff, Abigail Gilliatt, Madison Moore, Meredith Duncan, Emily Chappius, Sydney Harbath, Cierra Murrell and Olivia Zastrow.
