Aubrie Moreland, a junior at Washington High School, has qualified for the MSHSAA Class 1 Girls Swimming Championships Thursday-Friday, Feb. 20-21, at the St. Peters Rec-Plex.
It marks the third straight season Moreland has qualified for the state swim meet.
Moreland qualified in both the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle.
Moreland qualified in the 100-yard free style in a time 56.72 of during the Lindbergh Invitational. She qualified in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:05.49 during the GAC Meet.
Several other WHS swimmers made consideration times, but didn’t make the cut for the top 32, which is the number of positions filled for each event at the state championships.
The Class 1 preliminaries of the state meet take place on Thursday, Feb. 20. The top 16 of each event reach the finals on Friday, Feb. 21.

GAC Meet
Competing at the GAC North Central Championships on Feb. 12, Washington placed fifth in the team standings with 261 points.
Moreland placed second in the 100 freestyle in 56.92 and third in the 200 freestyle in the state qualifying time of 2:05.49.
Also for Washington at the GAC Meet:
Abby Loesing finished third in the 50 freestyle in 26.95 and seventh in the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.83.
Clairese Kluba finished fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.2 and seventh in the 200 individual medley in 2:48.14.
Kinsey Kamper placed fifth in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.64.
Mikala Brune was sixth in the 500 freestyle in 6:48.5 and seventh in the 100 butterfly in 1:14.95.
The 200 medley relay team placed fourth in 2:12.01.
The 200 freestyle relay team finished fourth in 1:53.56.
The 400 freestyle relay team was fourth in 4:30.37.
