Washington High School boys basketball player Zac Coulter is both the KLPW Radio and the Washington Missourian Athlete of the Week.
Coulter, a 5-11 senior guard, is averaging 14.8 points per game in the first four games this season in helping the Blue Jays to a 2-2 record.
At the Borgia Turkey Tournament, Coulter had 19 points and eight steals in a 79-37 win over Owensville, 20 points in a 89-60 loss to University City, and eight points in a 37-32 loss to Borgia. Coulter and Todd Bieg represented the Blue Jays on the Borgia All-Tournament Team.
During action Tuesday, December 1, at Union, Coulter scored 12 points in a 63-29 victory.
“Zac has had a great start to the season,” said Washington Boys Basketball Coach Grant Young. “His poise on the floor and ability to hit the three-ball makes him a tough player to guard for opposing teams. Zac also is outstanding in the classroom with a 3.7 GPA.”
