Students in Logan Schamerloh’s Leadership Class at Washington Middle School put together a staff appreciation luncheon on Tuesday, February 22, at the middle school.
In honor of the date (2/2/22), they called the event Taco TWOsday.
Students planned the event, made invitations, brought in supplies, and asked area businesses for donations.
“We asked Ernesto’s, expecting to maybe get some chips and salsa. Ernesto’s and Erin Metcalf Realty told me they would love to go in together and provide the entire meal for us,” Schamerloh said. “I was in in shock. They split the cost between the two of them for our entire staff at WMS. We can’t thank them enough.”
Washington Middle School staff along with district administrators and school board members were in invited to the Taco TWOsday luncheon, which featured chips and salsa, hard tacos, soft tacos, and a variety of toppings. Water and soda also was provided, along with many different types of cookies.
