Students in CAPS Global Business Program Organize Four Rivers Career Center Donation to BackStoppers
Four Rivers Career Center held a lunch event last October to raise money for BackStoppers.
Students in the CAPS Global Business program organized and ran the event. Students in Horizons Academy helped staff serve the meals to students and staff.
CAPS Global Business students recently presented a check from the lunch for $237 to members of the Washington Police Department. The money will go towards the BackStoppers program.
The BackStoppers provides ongoing needed financial assistance and support to the spouses and dependent children of all police officers, firefighters and volunteer firefighters, and publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
