Scottie Burst August 18, 2024

Hello Sarah Scott Families,

We had a wonderful start to the school year! Thank you for attending Open House, driving safely while dropping off and picking up, and completing the parent survey. If you didn’t complete the survey, please check your parent portal on skyward. I’m loving your suggestions.

Tomorrow our 8th grade students will be receiving their new Chromebooks. Parents/Guardians, please have your student bring their charger and Chromebook with them to school tomorrow. It is extremely important that you take care of your Chromebook. 7th grade will be receiving on Tuesday!

Make sure you have filled out required forms on Skyward.  If you do not know your login information, please contact the school office at 812-462-4381.

Just a reminder students are NOT to cross the parking lot. Do not park in the main parking lot for drop off or picking up. Safety and security are very important.

Tomorrow, your student will be receiving some very important items.  One of those is an agenda. These agendas will keep your student organized and on track to be successful. Another item is their house t-shirt. We will begin our Mondays having a house meeting. Students will wear their house shirts every Monday. More information will be sent on skyward.

Our amazing Athletic Director, Mr. Burress, has set up a FREE Physical Clinic for Thursday after school 3:15-5:00. If you plan on playing sports for the school year, you must have a physical. Please plan to stay on Thursday!

We would like to have your input for the words that will be on the 4 pillars as you enter our beautiful school. If you were able to attend Open House Party, you may have noticed the 4 pillars in the main foyer were painted for each of the houses. Now, we are ready to add some of our key core values and foundations of SSMS. Please let us know what you think and check skyward to complete the survey.

It’s going to be a great week at Sarah Scott!

May you be proud of the work you do, the person you are, and the difference you make.
