Hello, my name is Kristi Higham. Currently, I teach 2nd grade and beginning my 24th year of teaching this school year. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education along with a Computer Literacy endorsement in December 2000 from Indiana State University. In August 2001, I began teaching at Shelburn Elementary, where I continued teaching until August 2005. At that time, I joined the staff at Davis Park. I spent nine years at Davis Park before coming to Riley in 2014. In addition, I earned my Master’s degree in 2005 from Indiana State University, as well as my Kindergarten Endorsement in 2012.
I am married to my husband, Andy, who teaches 8th grade Social Studies at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. We have two children, Mallory and Parker. Mallory is a student at Indiana State University majoring in English and minoring in French. She hopes to work in publishing. Parker is a student at Terre Haute North Vigo High School. He is actively involved in school activities while playing tennis and baseball. As a family, we enjoy traveling to new places and hitting up MLB ballparks.
I am very excited to continue teaching at Riley this school year! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year!
