Course Description:
Students will discuss artists, artwork, and be provided technique demonstrations to develop the four strands of art education; art appreciation, art history, art production, and art criticism as well as problem solving and critical thinking.
Art Education Objective:
Involvement in the arts is associated with gains in math, reading, cognitive ability, critical thinking, and verbal skills. Arts learning can also improve motivation, concentration, confidence, and teamwork.
