Hello students and families!

My name is Madeline Howes, and this is my sixth year teaching kindergarten at DeVaney. I am from Terre Haute, and I graduated from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College!

A few facts about me:

  • I am one of four sisters, which is why family holds such an important place in my heart!
  • I love running!
  • I coach travel volleyball!

I am so ready to begin another year as a Dragon! Kindergarten is such an exciting year full of growth and memorable experiences. I am thrilled to have you as a part of our classroom this year, where I plan to bring many new ideas and activities. I hope to continue to create a structured, yet comfortable classroom environment where all will be encouraged to be the best student and friend they can be. I plan to create long-lasting, engaging learning experiences for my students everyday with the help of our wonderful K-Team.
