Today, University Place Primary School was recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education. UPP is one of only four schools in the state of Washington, and 367 schools nationwide, to be selected. Congratulations to the students, staff and parents at UPP!

University Place Primary School is recognized as an Exemplary High Performing Schoolbecause they are among Washington State’s highest performing schools as measured by state assessments.

The coveted National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content. Now in its 38th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed almost 10,000 awards to more than 9,000 schools.
