FAQs
The Evergreen PTSA is a separate organization than the University Place School District and the Evergreen Primary School.
Parents. Evergreen PTSA is a school support organization similar to booster groups. Parent involvement is of the utmost importance in student success and participation in school support organizations (like PTSA) is one way for parents to be involved.
Governance & Policy. School support organizations are not governed by the School District; however, they must follow certain School Board policies and Administrative procedures, especially when fundraising, renting district facilities, giving donations, and involving students. Staff participation, cooperation, and support are encouraged in such recognized organizations with the understanding that there are limitations for staff roles in these support groups.

Our Focus. The goal is for PTA leaders to collaborate together with the parents and education administrators and connect with families to develop a deeper school community. Pertinent official business information is shared at the Quarterly Meeting. Parents, grandparents and caregivers are encouraged to join the PTSA and be involved.
