Certification

All certificated employees must have a valid certificate to serve in their contracted assignment.

Notification has been sent to all employees who have expiration dates prior to the start of the next school year. If you have questions about your certificate, please call Paulene Collins at ext 3321.

OSPI has a deadline of June 30 for all applicants to submit renewal applications / clock hour reports. Those who submit on or before that deadline will most likely have certificates renewed by the start of the new school year.

A few notes from OSPI

  • Permits and Rush Requests will only be granted for those people teaching summer school. All others need to submit the full application.

  • Those in National Board Certification programs still need to submit an application for renewal in order to maintain a valid certificate.
