- Step-up (at practice, during a game, while at school, in the community)
- Take control (on and off the field)

- Help novice / younger players
- Encourage teammates
- Earn Respect of Players and Coaches
- Respects and supports: program, players, coaches
- Believes in the program and wants the program to succeed now and in the future
- Willing to put the program ahead of their own goals and desires
- Perfect Attendance (includes practices, games, and school)
- Positive Attitude
- Sacrifice time outside of water for the program
- Organize team activities and bonding events
- An experienced player and knowledgeable about water polo
- Vocal Player
- Takes practice/games seriously (knows when to joke around and when not to)
- If there is a concern, or problem this player goes to the coach first for a one on one chat.
- Does not show displeasure with a decision, a play, or a teammate. (that includes facial expressions)
A Team captain is held more accountable to program expectations and must follow all captain requirements!
