New & Returning Student Registration
New student registration opened on April 7 and is open to all families who are new to Taylor ISD for the 2025-2026 school year.
Returning student registration opened on July 22, and is open to all returning students who were enrolled with Taylor ISD for the 2024-2025 school year. It’s important that returning families register for the school year, so schools have all the current information and forms to contact families and help them make the most of what TISD has to offer.

Personal Communication Devices
Beginning in the 2025–2026 school year, all Texas public schools, including Taylor ISD, will follow a new state law (House Bill 1481) that limits the use of personal communication devices during the school day.
Under the law, students will not be allowed to use personal devices such as:
- Cell phones
- Tablets
- Smartwatches or glasses
- Bluetooth headphones/earbuds
- Gaming devices
- Two-way radios
We understand this may be a big shift, and we appreciate your support in helping students adjust. Please start the conversation at home about staying focused in class and using technology responsibly.
In case of emergencies, students will still be able to contact parents, and Taylor ISD will continue to provide real-time emergency updates. Student safety remains our top priority.

T.H. Johnson Elementary - 5-6:15 p.m.
Please arrive during the time slot below based on your student’s last name.
A to M - 5-5:30 p.m.
N to Z - 5:45-6:15 p.m.
Naomi Pasemann Elementary - 6-7:30 p.m.
Please arrive during the time slot below based on your student’s last name.
A to D - 6-6:30 p.m.
E to O - 6:30-7 p.m.
P to Z - 7-7:30 p.m.
Main Street Elementary - 6-7:30 p.m.
School Start Times
In preparation for the upcoming school year, we wanted to remind you about school start times and a calendar update for the 2025-2026 school year.
Here are the school start and end times for the next school year:
- T.H. Johnson ES: 7:40 AM – 3:11 p.m.
- Naomi Pasemann ES: 7:50 AM – 3:21 p.m.
- Main Street ES: 7:50 AM – 3:21 p.m.
- Taylor MS: 8:15 AM – 4:00 p.m.
- Taylor HS: 8:30 AM – 4:15 p.m.
- Legacy ECHS: 8:15 AM - 3:55 PM on M-Thurs. & Fri. release at 12:40 p.m.
Reminder: All campuses in the district will follow a nine-week grading cycle, which will bring greater alignment and consistency across the district.
Parent Communication Platform - ParentSquare
We’re always looking for ways to strengthen communication between our schools and families, and your feedback from our survey earlier this year was that better communication between our schools and families is a top priority. With that in mind, Taylor ISD has transitioned to ParentSquare as its parent communication platform. ParentSquare is a unified platform for all school-to-home communication. Your student’s teachers, campus, and district will use ParentSquare to send important information to you.
By default, you will receive a digest of all messages from your child's campus and the district to the email on file each day in the evening. Families with only a phone number on file will receive messages via text message.
Email and text message settings can be customized by creating a ParentSquare account and changing their notification settings.
