Staff Profile

My name is Renee Shigley and I earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Education from Wright State University in 1989. After graduating from college, I substitute taught at Troy City Schools for over a year. The following year I was hired as a secondary social studies teacher at Troy Junior High School. I enjoyed working with seventh grade students and teaching a subject that I loved. I remained at this school for seven great years. After having my second child, I decided I wanted to spend more time at home with my children. I had two more children during this time and also ran a daycare out of my home. Once my youngest daughter reached first grade, I was ready to return to a job in education. I was fortunate to find an opening as an intervention assistant at Concord Elementary School. I have worked here for ten years. I love working with the primary grades and staff at this school.
