FASHION DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP CONTEST FOR TEENS
One winner will receive up to $20,000 worth of free fashion design classes at Portland Fashion Institute to enable the winner to study fashion sketching and illustration, Adobe Illustrator for fashion design, flats and technical packages, patternmaking 1 & 2, draping 1 & 2, apparel construction 1, 2, 3, industrial machine sewing, portfolio preparation and presentation!
The goal: To prepare you to start your own fashion line or to launch your career in the industry. Winner has the opportunity to intern with a local apparel designer plus experience with fashion shows.
Open to full-time high school juniors (grade 11) and seniors (grade 12) persons of color nationwide for this school year. Classes will be taught at Portland Fashion Institute, 4301 NE Tillamook, Portland OR.
