Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA)
Seaside High School’s Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) this year was led by Senior Liam Medina as President. Liam was voted in by the participants attending weekly meetings. The participants also voted on the type of club they wanted to be and decided their goal and intention for the GSA this year was to be a safe, social hangout students could look forward to each week during lunch time. Every meeting varied, as President Liam brought different activities to encourage the social aspect, including Gender and Sexuality Flag Jeopardy, vocabulary games, information and discussions on social and emotional topics affecting LGBTQIA+ teens, and of course the occasional Disney movie viewing.
A HUGE thank you to everyone at Pride in Seaside and The Hydes for the generous donations and their continued commitment to the LGBTQIA+ teens and community in Clatsop County!
