Our Mission
Brown Intermediate School is committed to providing a safe, positive environment which exemplifies our motto of “Respectfulness,Readiness, and Responsibility” and ensures that each student will experience success in learning and will progress at a rate consistent with state and federal guidelines.
Vision Statement Each student will leave our school with the continuing desire to learn and with the skills
needed to be a responsible, respectful, and productive citizen.
Staff Beliefs All students learn in different ways and at different developmental levels; therefore, we have high expectations that all students can and will reach their own highest level of achievement.
Education must be the shared responsibility of students, teachers, parents, and the community at large. Decisions ranging from pacing guides and lesson planning, to allocation of funds, must be driven by careful evaluation of current common assessments and must be consistent with the core values and shared vision of our school.
Respect, readiness, and responsibility must be taught, modeled, practiced, and expected.
We must consciously differentiate instruction to meet the varied, individual needs of our students during regularly scheduled PLC (Professional Learning Community) times.
Careful, ongoing analysis of research-based data, monitored at regular intervals during the school year, will enhance the effectiveness of teacher instruction, will inform RTI decisions, and will maximize student achievement.
