  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, October 9.
  • Any field hockey member who ordered spirit wear please see Mrs. Custer today or tomorrow to get your gear!
  • The girl's XC team earned a win in their dual meet against Tolland Middle School and Ellington Middle School. Top runners for TEXC included Jana Brownbill (1), Greta Johnson (2), Saanvi Nigam (5), Emily Bryan (7) and Lillian Magnoli (8).
  • The TEMS boys cross country team triumphed over Ellington and Tolland by 20 points yesterday afternoon at the Ellington Middle School course. Aiden Pilatti, Evan Taylor, Connor Hall, Brandon Willcox and Tommy Stewart all finished in the top ten securing the win. Liam Hamilton had a great race coming back from an injury, shaving off about 40 seconds. Diptanshu Rout, Alex Bifolck and Sam Marcous all took over a minute off their times on those hills. The team saw great runs from the sixth grade squad of Gordon St. Arnauld, Greyson Goudreault, Miles O'Brien and Sohan Gouda. Good luck in the next meet boys!
  • The Lady Cougars Soccer team played Vernon Middle School and they had an excellent performance winning 8-3. Aleksa Zajac started off strong by putting the ball in the back of the net assisted by Sienna D and Audrey L. Maddie Carpenter got another awesome goal, assisted by Aleksa Zajac. Kinsley Wood and Chloe P put the score to 4-0. Our goalie Victoria M took a break from goal and put 2 amazing goals in the back of the net. Assisted by Aleksa Z and Sienna D. Ending strong Sienna D put the last goal in the net, Assisted from Chloe P. MVP of yesterday’s game was Victoria M.
  •  Good Morning TE Students, Please be reminded that the TE Change Leaders are meeting today, October 9th, after school in Room 235. If you are unable to attend please email Ms. Bynoe.
  • Are you a math whiz or just curious about numbers? Join Mathcounts! We'll explore fascinating mathematical concepts, solve challenging problems, and have fun working together. Our meetings will be a great opportunity to connect with other students who share your passion for math and develop your problem-solving skills. Don't miss out! All students are welcome. We encourage you to bring your ideas and enthusiasm to our meetings. Join the Google Classroom using code gvy4bcf to fill out the sign up Google Form! First Meeting: Friday, October 25th at 7 AM in the cafeteria.
  • The P.E. Department is offering another session of Badminton Intramurals after school from 2:40-4:05 beginning next Wednesday.  Sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesday starting on October 16th and will end on October 30th.  Late busses will be available if needed.  Registration will open Wednesday after school (5pm), and you need to have a parent present to register.  The first 40 individuals to register will be admitted to participate.  REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE WHEN WE REACH 40 STUDENTS.  You will be notified by email that your registration has been received. Any questions, please see one of the PE teachers. 
  • Don't forget to get registered and collect you donations for our Active-Thon. If we reach $12,685 by Friday, everyone will get a homework pass! Also, the principals will compete in Minute to Win it challenges at Lunch if we can make it. We  know you want to be part of the TEMS team and help the PTO get to the top of our donation meter, so we can have the best school year ever. Let's all get registered and help contribute to our school community.
  •  Tickets for the Halloween Costume Dance are $10 and will be on sale starting October 21st in the main lobby. The dance will be held Friday Oct 25th from 6-8pm. This is going to be the event of the year, so gather your friends and come on out for a night of endless laughs and excitement. No full face masks or props are allowed due to safety. See you all there.
  • The Outdoor Education Club will be hosting a trip to Foster Family Farm for an afternoon of corn mazes, pumpkins and fun.  The trip will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd after school until 4:45pm.  The cost   of the trip is $12. Permission slips can be found outside Mrs. McAvoy's room, 263, in the Sage Hallway.  This event is a first come first served basis: we have limited seats available. See Mrs. McAvoy or Mrs. Roy if you have any questions.
