  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, October 2.
  • Good Morning TEMS Cougars! We are getting closer to the Active - Thon. It is important to stay prepared and excited. Think about what you need to do to get ready for the event, whether it’s gathering donations, preparing to run, dance, and play games or simply walk around and stay active. Let’s all work together to make this event a huge success.
  • In boys soccer news, the TEMS Cougars won their game last night 5-1 over East Hartford Middle School.  The game was closer than the score line indicates, but TE proved their mettle and came out on top.  Adam Elsendyouney hit the crossbar early in the game off a long throw in, however, Zavier Couette was there to tuck home the rebound to make it 1-0.  Elsendyouney then played a cross into the box only for Dillon Leacu to nod it home.  East Hartford scored shortly thereafter to make it 2-1 at the half.  The second half showed why TE is atop the standings as they came out on fire.  Liam Staroverov tallied the first of three in the half off a feed from Nikhil Vemuri.  Haris Zhinipotoku pulled a rabbit from the hat once again, deceiving the keeper and scoring a lazer from 25 yards out.  Sachin Vemuri then got in on the action as he played in Elsendyouney to round out the scoring.  The back line of Kyle Mordasiewicz, Hussien Taleb, Colin LeDoux and Ishaan Ray were strong all game.  Up next the Cougars play VCMS on Tuesday of next week.  Congrats boys on a job well done.
  • Yesterday the Lady Cougars Soccer team faced a challenging game against East Hartford Middle School. Starting off strong Emily Ward scored a beautiful goal, making the score 1-0. There was a hand ball in the box giving the Lady Cougars an opportunity to score. Aleksa Zajac stepped up and did not fail to disappoint, making the score 2-0!!  Then the Lady Cougars combined down the whole field giving Maddy Carpenter the ball and she put it in the back of the net! Then the score was 3-0 , but the Lady Cougars knew they couldn’t stop there! Maddy Carpenter took a beautiful corner and Kinsley Wood finished it! The score was 4-0! And Emily Ward closed the game off by scoring her 2nd goal! They finished the game 5-0 Lady Cougars! The girls team plays again next Tuesday against Vernon Middle School!
  • The field hockey team continued its winning ways with a 5-0 win over Stafford Middle School.  TE took advantage of the home field  from the very start with a goal from Joanna Halle followed by Kinley Cincotta.  Ella (Bug) Allore of an assist from Stella S.  and Emma Hennessey followed with two more goals in the 3rd quarter with Kylie Duval  wrapping up the goal scoring in the 4th quarter off an assist from Ella Satalino.  Allie Scott who also played strong in midfield and Megan Aparo were credited for the shutout.  Thanks for all who came out to support the team.
