- We would like to begin our recognition of Indigenous People Day observed on Monday ā October 14 by acknowledging that the land on which we gather, in South Windsor, is the traditional territory of the Podunk people, who are the original stewards of this area. We also recognize the Mohegan, Pequot, Nipmuc, and other Indigenous peoples who have lived and continue to live throughout this region. We thank them for their strength and resilience in protecting this land, and we aspire to uphold our responsibilities in accordance with their example.
- Wednesday, October 16th is Unity Day. We recognize this day as an opportunity to stand up for kindness and against bullying and mean spirited behavior. Please consider wearing orange in recognition of this day.
