- Tomorrow marks the 20th Anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001. On September 11, 2001, the United States experienced a series of attacks that resulted in the deaths of 2,977 individuals from over 90 countries. These unexpected, shocking and tragic events changed our nation and our world. From this tragedy, emerged stories of heroism and support for one another and our nation, including first responders who risked their lives and other individuals who engaged in acts of heroism to protect, support and care for others. This support continued in the following days, weeks, and years. Today we acknowledge the impact of that day and remember those who lost their lives as a result of the events of that day.
