  • The softball team traveled to Illing Middle School for their second game of the season. Olivia Doran started off with an aggressive at-bat that set the tone for the first inning, which ended with TE up four runs on Illing. Meghan Doherty took to the mound and dominated striking out her first two batters. She would go on to pitch a complete game recording sixteen strikeouts. The Cougars would end up scoring sixteen runs led by Olivia Doran's four runs; and Alexis Nisyrois and Angie Mundo with three runs each.  The entire team played very well to help secure the win. The final score was TE 16 - Illing 5; the softball team's overall record is 1 and 1, and they are away on Monday against JFK. Congrats on the win, Cougars! Good luck on Monday.

  •  The TE baseball team battled for 7 innings against Illing on Thursday, but in the end the Rams came up with a 3 to 1 victory.  The Cougar defense was solid in defeat.  Robbie Wunsch, Chris Strout and Jake Palombizio limited the Rams to 6 hits, but timely hitting by Illing led to their win.  Brayden Edwards and Drew Dargati added two hits each for the Cougars.  The next game is Monday at Rotary Field vs. JFK.

  • This week is a Purple week. It is a Day 4 for Grade 6 and a Day 2 for Grades 7 & 8.
  • The girls' softball team traveled to Tolland Middle School on Tuesday for their first game of the season. Tolland got up earlier on the Cougars, but Alexis Nisyrios got a hit in the 3rd; she stole her way around the bases and was able to score.  Brianna LeGare started a rally in the top of seventh, but it wasn't enough to get the win. The final score was Tolland 6 - TEMS 3.
  • The TE baseball team opened it's season with a convincing 12 to 2 victory over Tolland on Tuesday afternoon.  Sam Balducci and Brayden Edwards combined to one hit the Falcons.  Edwards picked up the victory in relief, striking out 7 and allowing no hits in 3 innings of relief. Offensively, the Cougars were paced by Robbie Wunsch with 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI.  Balducci, Ethan Burke and Jacob Gombotz chipped in with 2 hits each.  Drew Dargati ripped a 2 out single in the 5th inning scoring 2 runs and sealing the victory for the Cougars.  The Cougars are home on Thursday vs. Illing at Nevers Park.

  • The Boys Track Team competed in their first meet in almost 2 years, going up against Illing from Manchester.  The energy, nerves, and excitement were high!   The boys may have lost the meet, 60-44, but there were some strong showings.  Kyden Merlin dominated his events, winning every single one.  He won the 100 and 200 meter dash, and the high jump.  He was also part of the 4x100 team with Mathias Baidoo, Sonit Shah, and Trestan Calloway who won their relay.  Jacob Pflederer won the boys Discus. Matthew Habeeb finished 2nd in high jump.  Trestan Calloway finished 2nd in the 200 meter dash. And Shawn Baidoo finished 2nd in the 55 meter hurdles.  Many other athletes placed in the Top 3, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong Illing squad.  The boys next meet will be against East Hartford at South Windsor High School on May 10th.  Go Cougars!

  • Tennis Intramural registration is now closed.  Anyone who turns in a permission slip will be added to the wait list and may be added at a later date!  Any questions, please see Mr. Chandler.

  • This week spirit day is Where's Waldo. The iconic, elusive man in the red-and-white striped shirt was first hidden away in 1987 by British illustrator Martin Handford. It takes upwards of eight weeks to draw each puzzle in a Where's Waldo book, which is approximately how long it took me to find him in just one of the pictures.  The character is British in origin and was actually originally called Wally. Some countries keep that version, but there's even more changes in others: in France he's Charlie, in Denmark he's Holger, and in the Czech Republic he's Valik.  This week we ask that everyone do their best to dress as Waldo or where similarly colored clothing to make it a challenge to find the one true Waldo. We look forward to seeing what you come up with...Did you spot him in this picture?

  • Viral Video Challenge Winner is …… Aneesh Roy! Congratulations
