  • On Wednesday evening, two Timothy Edwards Mock Trial teams entered into Regional Competition in West Hartford. In Round 1, the TEMS White Defense Team defeated the Prosecution from St. Paul's, led by the devastating combination of Ria "the Knife" Saxena and Dhanya 'the Closer' Chasmawala. In Round 2, the TEMS White Prosecution Team disarmed with Defense Team from St. Rose with a "Level 3" Force. Leading the way for the team was Yunfei 'Bent Arm Takedown' Zheng and Wade 'Standard Procedure' Violette. Bailiff Logan Breen was on point all night, keeping opposing counsel and bailiffs in check. Most Valuable Player for the night was Buddy, the Wonder Cat.  The White team now advances to the Quarterfinals, on a date to be determined later this month. FINALLY - Despite a valiant effort, the Red team was unable to outpoint their opponents and were eliminated from the competition. Outstanding efforts by all members, including a stellar Prosecution team led by Colin Heslin who lasted through a marathon cross examination. The Defense was paced by Pranav 'Disregulation' Shankar. The evening concluded with a brilliant closing argument by Iniya Raja. Hopefully, the Red team will have another opportunity in a consolation tournament.
