- The Lady Cougars hosted the Falcons from East Hartford last night in a mid-table CRAL clash. The Lady Cougars jumped out early in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way. Teagan Purcell had 7 points on the night with a couple clutch buckets in the second quarter. Kai Grate also had 8 points in the quarter with Shea Brochu and Gianna DiSalvatore rounding out the quarter both with two each. DiSalvatore's bucket was huge and she capitalized on a busted play and hit the shot as the buzzer sounded. The second half was similar to the first with the Lady Cougars finishing on top 49-40. Morgan Bridgeforth had 6 points all in the first quarter and Grate finished with 18 on the night. Maria Puniello and Mia Haynes had 6 and 5 points respectively. Clutch rebounding on the offensive end allowed the Lady Cougars to keep their lead the entire game. TEMS is back in action tomorrow when they host Charger from Sage Park after school. Congrats on the win ladies.
- The boys basketball team held off East Hartford Middle School to get their second win of the season, 41-39. The Cougars made clutch free throws to ice the game. Hard defense throughout the game and unselfish play on offense led the wire to wire victory. Timothy Edwards is heading to Windsor on Thursday to take on Sage Park.

- Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 6.
- Last night the Lady Cougars crossed the border for a battle of unbeatens. Unfortunately, the Lady Cougars fell to the Ellington Wildcats, 29 to 28. It was a enjoyable game for the fans as it came down to the final seconds. TE had posted a 13 to 7 lead going into half time, but were unable to hold the lead in the end. Morgan Bridgeforth finished with 11 on the night, while Kai Grate added nine. Shea Brochu, Teagan Purcell and Emery Forko added 3, 3, and 2 points respectively. It was a tough game on both ends of the floor, as it was tough to find the bucket on the offensive end and equally hard to secure the ball defensively. It was clear though that these were the two best teams in the CRAL league and without and major hiccups, these two teams should meet in the finals. Good job ladies. Keep up the great work!

- Last night, the Timothy Edwards girls basketball team traveled to Enfield to take on JFK. The Lady Cougars came away with a 40–30 victory as Morgan Bridgeforth paved the way with 14 points. Steady ballhandling and seven points from Shea Brochu helped the Lady Cougars seal the win. Kai grate chipped in 10 points and Kyla Wood made a three pointer at the end of the first quarter to give the cougars a 13 to 7 lead. Teagan Purcell had two points as did Kiera Dietelbaum. The final two points of the game were made by Emmi Touché, as she stepped to the free throw line for Shea Brochu who sustained a small head injury. Tushe was called to the line with 3.7 seconds to go and buried both shots off the bench. The Lady Cougars travel to Ellington today after school to take on the reigning champions of the CRAL. It should be a good battle especially since both teams are undefeated on the season thus far. Congrats girls!
