  • On Saturday, Rishabh, Aarush, Jani, Mehana, Aricka, Danial, Pranay, and Advaith represented TE at the Hartford Chapter MathCounts competition.  It was an outstanding day of math for TEMS.  The TE team of Rishabh, Aarush, Jani, and Mehana placed TE 2nd against 23 competing schools.  The individual accomplishments were just as impressive.  Out of the 170 individual participants, TE placed 5 competitors in the top 16 on the written part of the competition.  Aarush placed 2nd followed by Aricka in 10th, Rishabh - 12th, Daniel 13th and Mehana - 16th.  In the exciting and nerve-racking head to head countdown round, the two top finalists were TE's own Rishabh and Aarush.  It couldn't have been any closer, coming down to one final question,  as Aarush eked out the victory over his team mate.  It was definitely a proud day for TE.  Congratulations to all the TE competitors and best of luck to them as they head to the Connecticut State competition in March.

You should submit to it. We are doing a contest in which we pick one piece to be on the cover of our magazine.  You will also get a gift card.  Two guidelines: 1.) You shouldn't have erasure marks on your piece and it should look like it took some time to make and 2.) You cannot have copyright material - this includes any characters from famous pieces of art. If you win you will get your piece laminated and a free copy of the magazine. Also, you will be in the Out of the Blue literary magazine. Stay tuned to the news in future days to hear about other contests!
